Canvas Conferences - Training Videos

EdTech, Faculty Content, LMS, TutorialBrandi Bleak

Conferences are primarily used for virtual lectures, virtual office hours, and student groups. They can also be used to demonstrate technologies or troubleshoot technology issues online. You may hear some people call this tool BigBlueButton, but since it's integrated into Canvas, we'll be calling it Canvas Conferences.

When using Conferences, it's important to share as much information as possible with your colleagues and students. To that end, the system offers a lot of ways for you to share your content. You can share your screen so you can actively demonstrate your lesson live, or choose the most common option, which is sharing your presentation with your students and going through your lesson at your own pace. Regardless of the way you share your information, there are a number of screen annotation tools available to help you annotate or have your students annotate as you go!.
